party over here!
Today was fun, looking to get funner. i looked at cars online, i think i have found the one that will work for me. i'm still not sure though, and i don't think i will be until i get home and see it for myself. i just hope it is still available when i get there.
then i talked with my mom for a while. i knew that my mom had aspired to be an artist when she was in highschool but i didn't know that she had experience working in so many different mediums. i thought she had only worked in pencil and ink and paint. she told me today that she had done, etching and lithography and block printing and silk screening and hand lettering. i had no idea. it really breaks my heart that she coulden't pursue that. her senior year she was called down to the office and the dean of girls told her that her parents were getting a divorce and there would be no money for her to go to college and her entire schedule was changed to clerical classes like typing and shorthand. i can't tell you the despair i feel every time she tells me that story. every time she tells it she reveals something new about what was going on at that time. thats why i am so glad that my parents have given me the opportunity to do what they didn't get to. I hope that at some point in my life i can re-pay them for everything they have done for me. i am going to have to get a really, really good job, or play the lotto.
Tiffany and i had a small adventure today. we went to the comic shop, i got the new anita blake, and a mamegoma notebook. then we went to the grocery store and decided that we were too hungry to be in the grocery store, so we went to geta ( our favorite japanese food place) and had dinner. then i told her we had to go to Tango Gelato down the street. she had cinnamon and lavender and i had cinnamon and chocolate. my favorite thing about gelato is the intense natural flavor. it tastes like the real thing because that's what's in it. then we decided to look at the smoke shop next door. they have really nice hookahs. So tiffany buys one. i buy the shisha and the coals and our night continues to get more interesting. we go to the 7-11 for beer and then we head for home. my arms were sore from yesterday's work out so i carried the case of coronas on my head like women from other countries do. so i think we might drink smoke and watch planet earth. planet erf!!
Topic of the day:
What is the worst nightmare you have ever had?
things always seem worse when you are a child so this dream may not seem scary to me now but i still remember it to this day so it must have had some impact on me. so, i was 8 or 9 and i had this dream where (now don't laugh) Shredder and the foot patrol came to my house and held my family hostage and then filled my house with water. i rode in on my bicycle to discover what had happened moments too late. it was very troubling, i remember telling my mom about it the next day and crying.
