no rain on this parade!

so today tiffany and i went to the annual gay pride parade in san francisco.  neither of us had gone before and so we thought hey, lets go check it out.  it's like living in new orleans and never going to madri gras.  so we got ourselves on a bart and got off at civic center where the parade end was.  we were there by like 1:30 so the begining had just passed and we saw some pretty interesting stuff.  everybody was basically behaving themselves, unlike The Castro's halloween fiasco, which they have called off because too many people have gotten stabbed.  The parade seemed to be a peaceful good natured event.  i suppose i was rather nonplussed by most of the "floats" and participants, i think i was expecting more extravagance but it wasn't really.  But what i did get was a lot of really great pictures.  can i tell you how much i love my camera?  awesome pictures!  ooh! note the poster over the Orpheum theater!!!  Avenue Q is coming in august!!  I am so getting tickets asap!  okay, now pictures...

after the parade tiffany and i ate at a chinese place called "fast food".  kind of a weird place but they had good yakitori.  then we went shopping, we got really bored.  mostly because we had been shopping 2 weeks ago and none of the stores had gotten in any new merchandise, but some of what we liked 2 weeks ago was on sale now.  but i am broke as hell, so broke *whine*.  Also, upon visiting the flagship Old Navy store i saw what i had heard about earlier this week.  Old Navy has removed the plus sized section out of it's store.  grrr.  they are going to be really sorry they did that.  Fat ladies are a HUGE deographic for the sinking ship that is Old Navy. lol!
