Those are indeed aphids. The most earth friendly way to get rid of them it to wash the leaves with a mild detergent/water mix or you can also use a q-tip and rubbing alcohol them one at a time. Very time consuming. Also, if you have aphids check all of your other plants also look for ants. They use aphids like little honey cows and actually nurture the little critters.
i actually used ivory and water mixture, i was hoping that was the right thing to do. i'm todding the strawberry plant that started it. i live on the second floor, but i will check for ants anyways!
